Dog Share NYC

Lots of New Yorkers love dogs but can't take one on full time. Lots of dogs would be happier with more people around. Dog Share NYC puts them together, so the cost, the walks and the love get shared.

Who it's for

You have a dog

and would like a trusted neighbor to share them with: weekdays, weekends or when you travel.

You want dog time

but can't have a dog full time, and would love to share someone else's.

You want a co-owner

to adopt a dog with, splitting the cost and responsibility.

How it works

  1. Fill out the form below. If you have a dog, tell me about them too.
  2. I read every submission and look for people nearby with compatible schedules and expectations.
  3. When I find a likely match, I introduce you both by email. You meet, and decide together.

It's free. Your details are only shared with a potential match. I make introductions, but I don't run background checks, so meet in public first, take your time, and put your agreement (schedule, costs, vet care, what happens if plans change) in writing.
